Sundays tend to go by at a slow pace. A day to relax and enjoy the sunset after a good day of flying.

Some places are special
You dream about them all the time
Here’s my favourite Tropical Island – The Lighthouse at the Lysefjorden i Norway
A place where you can feel at home, lean back and enjoy a cold beer in your hammock between the palm trees and listen to the ocean waves

Here’s a little flashback to last summer in Norway. Just wanted to share the feeling of base jumping off the edge, flying from Smellveggen exit to landing at the Lower Ladder landing area. So the video and sound is uncut from my gopro, to share my point of view. At the exit I was trying to convince my friend Martin, who jumped with me, to land in the water just for the fun of it – but he did not seem very hooked on this particular idea.

I wish this little red boat would have driven the opposite way…would have been fun to try and land on it with my Atair Troll DW base jumping canopy
The year before I actually decided myself to test out the Lysefjord water temperature.Take a look at these screen grabs from the video – sorry about the poor quality, but I decided to leave my Canon 5D behind on this jump.
If you want to see the waterlanding in the Lysefjord, it is the last part of this video from 2011:

Spent one day at the Stavanger B.A.S.E. Klubb Heli Boogie at Kjerag 2011. This was for me a great opportunity to bring my camera along to catch some of the action. A perfect day to freeze some of the fantastic people for just a single moment – on the ground, on the mountain and in the air.
Let me know what you think!

What fascinates me most about the world we live in, is that nothing is ever status quo. Every single day people come up with new ways to progress. Sometimes the most simple approach to a challenge is the way to go. Gary Connery sure executed his plan to perfection when he landed his modified Tony Wingsuit dead center into a humongous pile of cardboard boxes.
My fellow base jumper and skydiver deluxe Joel Strickland from Varial Freefly team was there, and was kind enough to share his fantastic photo of the pile of boxes. The very pile of boxes that cushioned Gary’s perfectly aimed wingsuit landing.
WARNING: If, however, you choose to play with these great inventions (be a wingsuit OR a cardboard box) – here’s what CAN happen to you:
